A school that began with two fathers' search
Our story
It was 2024. Two fathers were looking for a school in Barishal for their own children: a school where a child could learn both dunya and deen, with joy.
English Medium schools offered modern learning, but no Islamic education or environment. General schools had no deen. Nurani madrasas had deen, but little joy, and more memorising than understanding.
They could not find such a school, so they started one themselves, and named it Ilham International School.
The name
Ilham
inspiration placed in the heart by Allah. We hope this inspiration to learn awakens in every child's heart.
What we believe
Every child deserves faith and a future.
Dunya and deen with equal importance: 50% General Studies (Bangla, English, Math) and 50% Islamic Studies (Arabic, Quran, Islamic Studies).
Our goal
By Class 8, in sha Allah, every student will read the Quran and understand it.
- 1New classes are added step by step: together from Play to Class One, then a General or Hifz stream in Classes 2–6, and together again in Classes 7–8.
- 2After Class 8, any path: general education, or a Qawmi or Alia madrasa.
